Founder and general overseer of International Gods Way church; Bishop Daniel Obinim familiarly identified as Angel Obinim has been ordered to settle a tax laibality of Ghc 1, 591,997.50 to the state by Ghana Revenue Authority (G.R.A).
According to a judgement delivered on May 13 , 2020 by Justice Doreen G. Boakye – Agyei who presided over the case – Bishop Obinim has evaded the payment of taxes on his 21 block property which he rents out as shops and resort facility centres.
Bishop Obinim; the applicant wanted the court to declare that the insurance and service on him to clear his tax liability is null and void.
The self – impulsed Angel of God rebuffed all the allegations levelled against him by professing – he had fully paid all his tax liabilities.
He further weaved in a persuant of Section. 42 of the Ghana Revenue Administration Act 2016 of 915 and joined the GRA and Ecobank Ghana Limited a third party debtor as respondents.
