The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed Ghana has received the Madagascar cure for Covid-19.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said this during a Facebook Live session dubbed “AskTheInfoMinistry” on Assessing Government’s Response to the Covid19 Pandemic.
He said Ghana received the cure earlier and it is undergoing the necessary tests to check its ability to produce a desired or intended result.
“We have received the Madagascar cure for Covid19 and we are testing it for efficacy,” Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said
This comes after numerous Ghanaians called on the government of Ghana to emulate Nigeria by trying the Madagascar cure for COVID-19 dubbed CVO- a herbal remedy.
The drug’s popularity is due to Madagascar’s high level of recoveries and low level of death is credited to their Coronavirus herbal cure invention.
As it stands, the World Health Organisation hasn’t approved of the herbal medicine — they warned against the use of CVO without medical supervision and cautioned against self-medication.
So far, Madagascar has sent CVO to several African countries including Comoros Island, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Niger, Tanzania, Nigeria, Senegal and Chad.
