Over 900 Africans have been killed by the deadly coronavirus as it bites harder on the continent, the Africa CDC said.
Confirmed cases reached 17,247 and death toll is now 910 as at Thursday, April 16, 2020.

According to the Africa CDC, the most severely affected African countries are South Africa with 2,506 confirmed cases and Egypt with 2,505 cases.
Others are Algeria with 2,160 cases, as well as Morocco with 2,024 cases.
The agency said that some 3,546 people who have been infected with the COVID-19 have recovered.
In Ghana, the confirmed cases increased to 641 as at Wednesday, April 15, 2020 with 83 patients recovering from the deadly disease.
