President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be addressing the state on deadly novel Coronavirus tonight, March 11, 2020.
The address will entail the nation’s readiness to battle the deadly Coronavirus which claimed thousands of lives across the world.
The address is themed: “Coronavirus: Update on enhanced measures taken by government” and will begin at 8 pm.
He made this announcement via his verified official Instagram page.
The virus originated in China but has reached over 100 countries, with the World Health Organization (WHO) saying Monday that the “threat of a pandemic has become very real.”
The global death toll from the coronavirus is now over 4,000, with nearly 114,000 confirmed cases.
As part of efforts to contain the outbreak, some governments closed borders and suspended land and air travel with the worst-hit countries.
