The people of Berekum in the Bono region are in the state of fear and panic over a suspected case of the deadly coronavirus.
According to a close source, a resident [name witheld] who returned from Spain, showed signs and symptoms of the novel coronavirus.
The man reported to the clinic with flu-like symptoms but a Physician Assistant who became suspicious of his condition requested for him to be quarantined for further investigation but he vehemently refused.
After several unsuccessful attempts, the case was reported to the office of the Bono Regional Health Directorate and the Conoravirus Coordinator for immediate address.
A high powered delegation led by the Bono Regional Director of Health Services, Deputy Director of Public Health, Deputy Director of Clinical Care and Medical Director of the Brong-Ahafo Regional Hospital, was dispatched to handle the issue in Berekum.
After several hours of interactions, the team finally convinced the suspected patient, quarantined him and took blood samples for further tests.
