Ghana lacks quality players to win the AFCON– James Kwesi Appiah reveals

Former coach of the senior national team, Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah has stated that the national team lacks quality hence their dreams of winning the African Cup of Nations will not materialize.

Speaking to Atinka FM, the experience Ghanaian coach stressed that the technical team including the Ghana Football Association needs to strategically develop players to promise the team an AFCON cup.

This according to him should be a long term plan for all national teams to groom quality players for the task ahead.

“We can’t just say we are going to win AFCON, we need to have a long term plan for our national teams and groom quality players before we can win the AFCON”,

“For now we lack quality players to win the AFCON” he stated.
