Reports flying online indicate that Nigerian rapper and Singer Naira Marley has been freed by a court over car theft allegations.
Born Adeyemi Fashola, Naira Marley was accused by the police for car theft some months ago and after back and forth court hearing, the Tinubu Magistrate Court in Lagos, presided by Justice Tajudeen Elias.
Justice Elias after receiving a settlement agreement between the complainant Mr Adelekan Ademola and the four defendants dismissed the case.
Marley, his two brothers Idris Fashola, 18; Babatunde Fashola, 24; and their cousin, Kunle Obere, 22 were the defendants in the case.
Four-count charge of conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing the police from arresting Naira Marley was dismissed by Justice Elias.
According to reports, Naira Marley was absent in court today but his brothers and cousin were present.
