A post was published by many news and media outlets that the popular assemblyman contestant Hon Aponkye has won in his constituency.
However, fact check by Gossips24.com indicates that Hon Aponkye actually lost the election by a huge margin.
The first news that Hon Aponkye was declared the winner of the Nima Electoral area was carried hurriedly by many media outlets after the close of counting from only a few polling stations and Hon Aponkye jumped onto his motorbike in Jubilation throughout the constituency.
But after the total votes were collated from all the polling stations in the electoral area, it emerged that the popular contestant Hon Aponkye actually lost the election.
