Reggae/Dancehall artiste, Jupitar has disclosed why he chose this name as his stage name.
According to him, he chose the Jupitar name because he want to be that big musician.
On Hitz FM, he told the host Andy Dosty that;
“I got the name in my school days – Jupiter is known to be the largest planet in the solar system; and so i wanted to be big as a musician too”.
On whether the name has affected him, he said,
“It has affected me in a way where when people search for the name Jupitar, the planet appears as results. Rebranding is a big risk. I am trying to see if I can change it to my real name, “Michael”. However, I have added “Di General” to my name. Some people even refer me by that name”.
