It seems hiphop musician Joey B has had enough with how Ghanaians don’t appreciate all the hard work he’s putting into the work he’s doing.
Here in Ghana, musicians go to all lengths just to release an album for it to fade way within a couple of days. That’s how bad our music industry is. Only already established musicians are able to thrive and stay on track when they drop an album or EP.
Joey B who has fallen victim to this ‘drop and fade” has disclosed that he’s no longer interested in working on an album, but would rather focused on releasing single hits.
He said,
“Here in Ghana, people sleep on EP’s and Albums. You go all out to work on an album, release it, and if you are not lucky, even 1 song won’t blow. Ghanaians don’t appreciate Album or EP, they would sleep on it”.
Joey B continues,
“Do you know how much work goes into an album? You release an album and after 3 days, nobody talks about it. No way, i would keep dropping singles”
