Ghanaian Highlife musician, Ofori Amponsah has said he would advise ex-president John Dramani Mahama not to contest the 2020 elections.
Ofori Amponsah seems to be among those who cannot fathom why Mahama would still want to worry himself and contest again.
The multiple VGMA award winner in an interview on Happy 98.9 FM, monitored by Gossips24.com, aired that he does not understand the rationale behind Mahama’s unexpected comeback as has contributed his quota o development of the country and needs to step aside for another person.
He said:
“If I were him, I will not contest again. He has done too much for us, he should rather be behind and push others.
Those advising him are different but if I were to advise him, he should channel his energy and knowledge to helping the young ones. That’s my opinion.
But if he thinks he has an unfinished job and wants to continue, that is in the hands of Ghanaians.
