Renowned Ghanaian singer, Kesse has revealed he was paid just GHC 20 for the collaboration he did with Sarkodie and renowned sound engineer, Appietus.
In August 2012, Ghana was hit with a jam dubbed Azonto Fiesta in which Sarkodie featured Kesse and Appietus.
AZONTO FIESTA’ became an instant hit but Kesse of Mentor Fame (known as Mike back then) has revealed in a recent interview with Prince Tsegah noted that he never enjoyed the fruit of his labor.

He noted that although the track which is owned by Sarkodie was a very successful one he was just given GHC 20.
He noted that amount was even for fuel.
Ghana’s music industry has been one that many have lamented on it state and especially the fact that music alone does not pay. This case is an empirical example of the situation in Ghana.
