CEO of Menzgold Nana Appiah Mensah has been granted bail to the sum of 1bn cedis, believed to be one of the biggest in Ghana’s court.

The bail comes with five sureties, three of which is to be justified. Making the case for bail, his lawyers led by Kwame Akuffo argued, their client is not flight risk despite being declared a wanted man by a court in 2018.
His legal counsel explained the socialite did not abscond but had left the country to Dubai to retrieve millions in investments with a company there.
Well, according to JOY News, Nana Appiah Mensah is likely to spend the weekend in Police Cells as he’s not able to meet the requirement or the terms of the 1bn GH Bail as at now;
So yes, NAM1 has been granted bail but he’s yet to meet the 5 sureties conditions, and so he’s still with the Police. He’s not able to get guarantors to stand in for him incase he runs away, then the guarantors will pay the GH1b to the State.
Incase you don’t know what is Bail; Bail is a binding promise to pay once the bailee escapes the jurisdiction of the courts. So those who bailed him (Guarantors) must be damn sure to cough up that amount if he runs out of the country & NAM1 is struggling to get Guarantors to stand in for him.
