Ghana’s President and first man of the land, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo has sent a congratulatory message to the Black Stars of Ghana.
Yesterday, the Black Stars of Ghana managed to beat Guinea-Bissau by 2 goals to break the spell after two draws in the early stages of the tournament.
Ghana has qualified for the round of 16 stage in this year’s AFCON and will be facing Tunisia come Monday, July 8, 2019.
The president of Ghana like any other Ghanaian is impressed with the performance of the stars so far. H.E Nana Addo called on the stars to end the trophy drought by winning this year’s tournament.
He tweeted; "Congratulations to the Black Stars for their victory over Guinea Bissau and topping Group F. Best of luck in the Round of 16 match against Tunisia. Let’s end the AFCON trophy drought this year. "
