Stalwart of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has bragged that he can better manage Ghana as President than Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as his achievements as a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) far supersedes that of the President.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Pure FM’s Pure Morning Drive with Kwame Adinkra monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the former Ejisu-Juabeng MCE asserted that his track record and developmental projects alone in his municipality are bigger than any achievement of this government and if this is all it takes to govern Ghana, then he is a better fit than Akufo-Addo.
“Kwame, Ghana is on a deteriorating spree with the President having close to nothing idea about governance. He bought his way into power with juicy lies and now has nothing to show to Ghanaians except empty talks.
Look, contractors are complaining, Kumasi roads have become death traps, higher taxes with nothing to show for, what kind of incompetence is this? Kwame I think the man should gleefully step aside and apologize to Ghanaians for deceiving us.” He stated.
According to him, there is no indication as far as he is concerned that things will ever get better calling on Ghanaians to give up hope on the ability of the current administration to fulfill the litany of promises it made to the citizenry.
“I cannot see any light at the tunnel as far the current administration is concerned. We need to take our destiny into our own hands hoping for a better day”, he said.
