Gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy who has thrilled Ghanaians for many years with her spirit filled songs has revealed how she went through a tough time during the early stages of her life.
The musician who was speaking during an interview with cookie tee on TV3 revealed that life became very tough for her at a point in her life that she couldn’t even afford to feed herself.
Ohemaa Mercy revealed that she was soo much broke that she had to borrow from people who later disgraced her and even took her televisions and other properties when she is unable to pay.
She recalled a moment when she had to stay indoor for over three days after she was humiliated by a woman for not been able to pay a debt which she owed.
Ohemaa Mercy recounting her ordeal revealed how all the issues she faced pushed her to take a knife to stab herself and end it all at a point.
However, Ohemaa Mercy’s life took a turn, and today, she sees her journey as a testament to God’s unshakable love. Reflecting on her ‘Bethel Experience’ concert, she believes that all the challenges she faced were God’s way of preparing her for the purpose He had planned.
The concert, which aims to save souls, was something she believes was divinely ordained, and she now sees that her struggles were part of God’s greater plan.
