King Pharaoh of Akatakyie fame has claimed that Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame is not a rapper.

King Pharoah made this comment while responding to a comment Okyeame Kwame made during an interview on Hitz FM. Apparently, Okyeame Kwame named some rappers from the past who were good at what they did.

According to Okyeame Kwame, the new generation of rappers are better than those who started rapping in the past.

“At the point when we began to rap, there were only a couple of rappers – Bright of Buk Bak, Exdoe, Chicago, Reggie Rockstone, VIP, and Obrafour. We were only a couple. Presently, everybody knows how to rap and the world has become so little through the web,” Okyeame Kwame said in a recent interview.

“These folks are remaining on the shoulders of Goliaths like Reggie Rockstone, and Lord Kenya. What individuals don’t know is these youthful rappers are way better compared to us. Kwame Yogot and the rest – they are a whole lot better compared to us,” he added.

However, the Odo Esisi Me hitmaker has another opinion about the claims of Okyeame Kwame. During an interview with DJ Magnus of Connect FM, he said;
“Okyeame Kwame spoke for himself and not for some of us. He’s not a rapper. Everyone knows Okyeame Kwame is not a rapper. Which of the new crop of rappers raps better than Jay Z, LL Cool J, and others?” he questioned.
“My rap line in the Odo Esisi Me song is over 20 years, but it’s still on the lips of music lovers after two decades so if he feels he’s not relevant in the game he should accept it,” he jabbed.
