Before the release of her latest album “10 Thirty”, Mzvee had a little chat with some media personnel who were present at the album listening and she talked about how some media men told her she would not be successful with the brand because she looked like a gospel musician.
She said:
“People have advised me to alter a little bit over my career. I’ve sat in offices with significant industry players who have told me I wouldn’t succeed because I resembled a gospel singer.
From I haven’t changed since the beginning and have no plans to, my brand has endured. People advised me to wear more provocative clothing and perform more provocative lyrics when I first started doing music, but I told them it wouldn’t last because I couldn’t sustain it.
