The minister for Finance Honourable Ken Ofori Atta who addressed parliament on the 2022 economic policy and budget statement has revealed that the government has scrapped the road tolls that were been taken in the country.

According to him, the new update comes after the concerns which were raised by people on the heavy traffic which occurs at the toll booths.

Ken Ofori Atta speaking in parliament on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, revealed that Government has scrapped the amount of money being paid by motorists as tolls on public roads in the country. This should come as a relief for road vehicle users given the heavy vehicular traffic, lengthened travel time, and ineffective revenue collection at tolling points on our public roads.
