A lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Mr. Dennis Owusu Sarkodie has during an interview revealed that allowances given to teacher trainee students as well as NABCo workers should be stopped.
The lecturer who was speaking during an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast show, on Tuesday revealed that national service ought to be canceled so the government can use that money to create permanent jobs for its youth.
According to him, money that is used to pay all the students can be channeled into factories and works that can give them permanent work instead of the one-year payment.
“Government should cancel national service and use that money to create jobs to permanently employ personnel.” He stated.
He further went ahead to state that money that is used to pay all those in the training schools should be scrapped as well and rather used to create more jobs they can do when they are done with their schooling.
