‘Mercy Lokko’ crooner, C-Zar was full of praise for the head honcho of the Shatta Movement Empire during a recent radio interview.
C-Zar mentioned that Shatta Wale has been of a tremendous blessing to the country, especially the showbiz industry for his impact and contributes to the growth of the music industry.
The singer who said a quit to music to concentrate on business few years ago with the explanation that the latter pays off than the former stated emphatically that without Shatta Wale there will be no music industry.
He added that the moment the multiple award-winning reggae and dancehall artist quits music there’s nothing any other person can do to resuscitate it.
His comment comes weeks after the President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice Osei Kufour, popularly known as Obour said the Ghanaian music industry can survive without Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy following the indefinite ban placed on the two musicians after the brawl at the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Chaos broke out shortly after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ when Shatta Wale and his team were seen going towards the stage, their intentions unclear.
This brought proceedings at the event to close to an hour halt after the two bitterest rivals clashed on stage.
Charter House Ghana addressing the issue in a press conference announced sanctions for the famed musicians.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were stripped of all the awards they won at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
They have also been banned indefinitely by the organisers of the prestigious awards.
Also, unannounced awards at the event which includes ‘Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Most Popular song of the Year’ categories were nullified.
