Whiles speaking in an interview on EBN TV, contemporary Highlife sensation Kuami Eugene averred that he has ‘mad respect’ for Guru because he’s a legend in the music industry hence he needs to be revered.
According to Kuami Eugene, he was shocked to the marrow after Guru decided to call him names just because he refused to work on a song with him.
Speaking on why he wished Guru a happy birthday although they are not in good talking terms, the ‘Open Gate’ hitmaker said;
He’s a legend. He is an elderly person. That’s why I was surprised he had the time to insult a young boy,” At the end of the day, he’s a legend and I had to wish him a ‘happy birthday.’
In the course of the interview, he also denied dissing Guru with his ‘Maradona Adwenfi’ line on Kwaku Darlington’s ‘sika aba fie’ remix.
