Talented Ghanaian born rapper and singer born Ahmed Bello but professionally known as Fancy Gadam has opined that an act doesn’t have to move from his region to Accra before he can penetrate into the mainstream media.
As argued by the Northern champion, the Kumerican guys – Asakaa boys have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that you can hit the limelight as a musician irrespective of where you base.
This submission was a deliberate reply to the controversial comments by Ezekiel Tetteh (STIP) who stated that any musician who wants a nationwide appeal should move to Accra if he/she wants to break boundaries.
Speaking in the course of a phone-in interview with HITZ FM, he said;
What the Kumericans are doing is a clear example to everyone – you can make it wherever you find yourself.
I have strong connects in Accra.
