NDC’s national party Chairman Dr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has firmly dismissed rumours which went rife on the internet about two days ago that he has stealth plans of contesting John Dramani Mahama for the NDC flagbearership slot in the party’s next primaries.
As revealed by the NDC bigwig, he has no intentions of doing such neither now nor in the near future.
Speaking in a recent interview with Ahotor FM, Ofosu-Ampofo additionally added that he is focused on his current position as the party’s National Chairman and more concentrated on helping the party to win power come 2024’s general elections.
he said;
I have no intentions to compete with Mahama, I have not even dreamed of it and I want all to disregard that news,
I have become a threat to the NPP.
They know what I am capable of, and they are doing all possible to pull me back, but I am not sitting back.
I will continue doing what I’m doing for NDC and for Ghana.
When I became the National Organizer, Former President Atta Mills came to power and as National Chairman I have done a great job and they feel unsafe
He also bragged that he has now become a thorn in the flesh for the NPP party , that is why they have made it a point to pull him back to derail his focus by planting fake news about him in the media, but he won’t succumb to all those gimmicks.
