Fantana’s mother, Madam Dorcas Affo-Toffey who flew on the ticket of the NDC party to unseat the NPP’s incumbent candidate in the just ended parliamentary polls might be handing over power back to her contender if the rumours making waves poses an iota of truth.
Viral reports which are currently gaining grounds and growing feathers on the internet has it that, as of yesterday, 7th January 2021, the rich female politician still had US citizenship to her profile.
This unfavorable development follows just after a days the Assin North MP-elect, James Gyakye Quayson also suffered an injunction just few weeks after wining the parliamentary race for holding a Canadian citizenship.
This news was made public by popular Ghanaian IG blogger Cutie Juls. She wrote;
Hmm Ghana… La fantana’s mother will be facing the law o.
‘As of 7/12/2020 when she was voted as a Member of Parliament in a Ghanain constituency, she was still and remained an American citizen. You know that’s a crime as per the constitution of Ghana, right?’
