NDC’s lead member and former president of the Republic who has critically rubbished the ECs final verdict on the just ended presidential polls has finally opened-up on the only-one condition which will force him to concede defeat.
During an interview with VOA (Voice Of Africa), the NDC’s presidential candidate reiterated for the umpteenth time the Jean Mensa and the whole of the electoral body is incompetent and corrupt.
He further contended that the concurrent change of electoral figures on the EC’s official website is a clear indication that some dirty works were done behind the scenes.
In the course of the interview, he said;
With the incompetence, the EC has shown, it will be useful for us to do a forensic audit of the EC’s own systems and numbers to come to what the final number from the EC is.”
This election, she can’t even get the results right. The declaration is all over the place. The way they have conducted this election; the government, President Akufo-Addo and the Electoral Commission is a dent to our democratic credentials.
Pressing on, he categorically stated that that until an independent audit is done, he and the NDC will still hold on to their notion that the election was rigged.
As long as that is not done and we know there was a deliberate attempt to subvert the will of the people in favour of the incumbent, it will be wrong for me to just leave it because we will not learn the lessons of this election.
