The National Road Safety Authority has revealed that 44 Ghanaians died on 47th December through Okada and car accidents.
According to the commission, 2016’s elections recorded this same figure. The only difference is that this time, road crashes resulting from electioneering activities increased by 55 percent.
Whiles speaking to Joy News, Mr David Osafo Addonteng who is the director of planning and programs from the Authority said;
This development is very worrying. We must endeavour to ensure that elections are devoid of road accidents in the country
In other news, the NDC party which has rejected the EC’s final verdict would be embarking on a nationwide protest today, to express their displeasure at the EC’s declaration as Nana Addo as the president-elect.
