Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NDC political party, Mr Augustus Nana Akwasi has publicly revealed that the party will be petitioning the overlord of the Asante Kingdom over the EC’s final verdict on the just ended general elections which they strongly believe the electoral body rigged the elections in favor of Nana Addo and the NPP .
Whiles addressing the media over the final results which were presented by the EC for both the presidential and parliamentary eelctions.
The NDC faithful asserted that the pink sheets they have in their custody are different from what Jean Mensa and her associates presented to the media.
He further added that, all NDC supporters in Kumasi have been entreated to converge at Aswaase, a suburb in Kumasi early tomorrow morning to march straight to Otumfuor’s palace.
The national executives of the party have been working on the issues but we in the Ashanti Region feel it’s appropriate to officially call on the Otumfuo to intervene,
Some several infractions and irregularities have transpired at almost all the polling stations across the country and as peace-loving citizens of this country, we want to use the appropriate channels. But first, we will march from Asawase to Manhyia Palace to put before the Asantehene our petition.
He is reported to have said during a brief press conference with some radio stations in Kumasi.
