Ghana’s dancehall king Shatta Wale after bagging 8 awards at the just ended 3 Musc Awards has revealed his forecast for the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2019.
The 20th edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is just around the corner and Shatta Wale has promised all his fans, and the many other music-loving Ghanaians out there that he never repeat what happened in 2016 if he should go home without an award.
Shatta Wale who was speaking to King Lagazee on Hitz FM, stated without mincing words that he has grown over the years in the music space and currently, he understands that if any musician fails to organize his or her fans properly, the person may be seriously disappointed at any award event.
Shatta also stressed that he has come into terms with the fact that being awarded at any award event is not the right of any musician but a decision that is hugely influenced by the fans and as such, if the fans fail to vote for you, one can never win.
The “Gringo” singer ended by stating that because he does not want any huge surprise again, he has currently organized and gathered all his fans together and he is very hopeful they will vote massively for him just like they did in the just ended 3Music awards.
He also stressed that his failure to win awards in the previous years might be as a result of the size of his fan base back then.
