Controversial politician, Kennedy Agyapong has reacted to the resignation letter of Martin Amidu.
The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, has resigned from his position three years after he was appointed by President Akufo-Addo.
The former Attorney General wrote to the President Nana Akufo-Addo Monday saying his decision is to enable his appointing authority “to take steps to appoint a replacement to that position as required by law.”
Martin Amidu noted on the third page of his 4-paged resignation letter to the President that his emoluments and other conditions of service were never satisfied as agreed in his entire two years and some months working for the state.
Reacting to the development, Kennedy Agyapong speaking on Net 2 Tv, pooled a document dated 16 February 2019, where the Special Prosecutor directed The Secretary to the Office of the Special Prosecutor to make available an amount of Ten thousand Ghana cedis (GHC10,000.00) to his person, and a Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC5,000.00) to his Deputy, as monthly operational allowances.
