A statement has been released by the Office of the Former President Rawlings declaring all posts and fliers indicating a one week commemoration for him, false.
The press statement, signed by Kobina Andoh Amoakwa urged Ghanaians therefore to ignore all announcements indicating that there will be a one week event.
The statement further notified the general public that they would have to book appointments before visiting the family to express their condolences.
However, a book of condolence has been opened in honour of the late former President at the International Conference Center in Accra where anyone could go and write a condolence for the him.
“Due to Covid-19 protocols, the office kindly informs all groups and institutions who obtain appointments that visitors with appointments who arrive at the former President’s office without nose masks will not be allowed in,” part of the statement read.
