Self Acclaimed dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale has urged Ghanaian music video directors to awaken their creative senses and stop lazying around.

According to him, Ghanaian music video directors are always copying Nigerian videos because they lack creativity.

The Shatta Wale further indicated that it is disheartening to see various music videos by Ghanaian video directors not portraying Ghanaian culture.

The self-acclaimed dancehall king in Ghana advised Ghanaian music video directors to add a touch of creativity and seriousness to their work.

The loud-mouth artist took to his twitter handle to express his sentiments on the lack of creativity amongst Ghanaian music video directors.

He tweeted:

“Ghana music video directors should stop copying naija videos and be creative cuz Nigerians are far gone ,so let’s try and portray our culture small ..it’s about being creative ..we are too lazy in creating ..Let’s be serious aaahhh ba !!!”

However, many have argued that the dancehall artiste’s videos (My Level and Amount) which were shot by Sesan – a Nigerian – aren’t any better as compared to the ones that were shot by Ghanaian directors.
