Few weeks ago, news reports indicated that the Nigerian Army were on a hunting spree to apprehend DJ Switch for sharing live footage of the Lekki Toll Gate Shooting.
However, the Nigerian Army has denied the rumour before a Judicial Panel of Inquiry in Lagos that has been set up to probe into the Lekki Toll Gate Disaster and police brutality.
According to Bigadier General Ahmed Taiwo, Commander of the 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, the claims are not true because they have a bigger goal which is stabilising Lagos.
“DJ Switch claimed the Army was looking for her. Nothing could be further from the truth. We have bigger fish to fry. That is, how to stabilise Lagos.” He told the panel.
DJ Switch whose real name is Obianuju Catherine Udeh is reported to have fled the country after receiving some threats to take her life.
