Coach of local club, Gimnasia y Esgrima, Diego Maradona is scheduled to undergo a brain surgery to remove a blood clot today after being hospitalized for anaemia and dehydration, few days after his 60th birthday.
The personal doctor of the football legend, Leopoldo Luque confirmed this saying that it was only a routine but necessary surgery.
“We are going to operate today. He is lucid, he understands, he agrees with the intervention,” He added.
Mr. Maradona is set to be transferred to Olivos Clinic in Buenos Aires.
